Regular text on the characters name means they are open to be adopted. Underline means they are taken.
If your cannon is accepted and you are not active for more than a week, the reserved character will be open for adoption again.
The Good Guys
DG The heroine of the story. When she was younger DG was a curious little girl who had magic in her blood. She loved drawing and sculpting like her father who was the King of the O.Z. and had the determination and grit of her mother who was the queen of the O.Z. DG’s best friend at the time was her sister Azkadellia. One day, while the two girls played in the woods near Finaqua, in their kingdom she heard voices coming from a mysterious cave. Inside the cave, the ancient evil spirit of the Wicked Witch possessed Azkadellia, a horror that DG felt responsible for.
Her possessed sister soon killed DG after that. But the Queen saved her youngest daughter by resurrecting her and sharing her magic with DG.
Fearing for her daughters life, The Queen hod DG’s memories and she was then raised by androids in Kansas.
Many years later, when DG is in her late teenage years, and like the original Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, finds herself in an unfamiliar realm after a storm. She finds and befriends several inhabitants of the O.Z. who have suffered under Azkadellia’s rule while searching for her missing parents. As she travels, she finds herself discovering places she has dreamed of and drawn all of her life. She learns her “parents” are actually cyborgs who were programmed to raise her, and then explain things to her once it was time for her to return. Her real mother is the former Queen of the O.Z. who sent DG away after Azkadellia, her sister, tried to murder her. It was DG’s responsibility to travel in search of a powerful emerald that will enable her to defeat Azkadellia and free their mother. As she travels, DG continues to remember more of her past life and begins to develop her own magical powers . Eventually it is revealed she has an ancestor named Dorothy Gale that her parents named her after. She manages to save the Outer Zone and was then reunited with her birth parents. Picture..
Detective Wyatt Cain “The Tinman” A former police man, a.k.a. “Tin Man”, of the Mystic Man’s protection detail. He joined a resistance movement against Azkadellia’s rule, incurring her wrath. After Azkadellia discovered this information, Cain’s family was captured and tortured by a group of the sorceress’ Longcoat (henchmen) soldiers led by a man called Zero. Instead, Cain was locked for years in a tin suit while the scene of his family’s torture was played repeatedly on a loop for many years.
When DG and Glitch came along and released him from his iron prison, he joined their quest to lead then to theCentral City. He took on paternal role for DG and becoming somewhat of a guardian to the two other travellers. Along the way, he learnt that his family had not been killed by Zero and finds the place where his family had been hiding. But it seems he is too late. He finds the grave of his wife and a tin suit near Finaqua and mourned again for his family. Later, he found his son now a competent and bitter leader of the resistance. They struggled to reconnect but now are on solid ground. Picture.
Glitch/Ambrose Once named Ambrose, he was once the smartest man in all of the Outer Zone, a brilliant inventor and the former adviser to the Queen. When Azkadellia began her rein, he destroyed the blue prints of the Sun Seeder machine to try to protect it from Azkadellia. She was so desperate for the plans that she got her Alchemist to remove half of his brain so she could get the plans directly from it instead, and use the brain to control her deadly Anti-Sun Seeder machine.
He soon earning him the name of Glitch because sometimes his “synapses don’t fire right”. Though Glitch sometimes forgets his name and repeats himself, he also has moments of clarity in which he can remember things clearly but there are holes in his knowledge. He has also demonstrated a surprising proficiency in martial arts, instinctively and spontaneously dispatching several Longcoats during a prison break. He has also stated that he is sure he was once a brilliant dancer, but made no mention of any combat training. Picture.
Raw A man DG rescues from being eaten by the Papé. Though somewhat human in appearance he has an animal-like nature. Raw is a “viewer” with empathic and healing abilities who ran away from his people out of fear not so long ago. Viewers are like phychics...but instead of seeing with their minds, they see with their hearts. Being able to tell if someone is telling the truth, a feeling about their past or near future with a mere touch. Many people used to see Raw as very spineless. After he and the gang of misfits escaped from their prisons in the sorceress’s castle, they were confronted by the Alchemist. Raw killed the Alchemist but at a great cost...He was the only man in the Outer Zone who knew how to remove and restore the other part of Glitch’s brain to it’s rightful place in his cranium. Raw learned much in his time with the others and is now a hero. Picture..
Queen Nyra “Lavender Eyes”The true Queen of the O.Z. and once a very powerful magician who has been imprisoned by her daughter, Azkadellia. She is DG’s real mother who sent DG away to protect her after Azkadellia killed DG. She poured all of her power into DG to save her life, leaving her helpless to stop Azkadellia’s later take-over. She then asked the cyborgs of Milltown to take DG to the Other Side and raise her there in safety.
Tutor A shape-shifting human who can take on the form of a Terrier. He was once the teacher of magic to DG and Azkadellia. As a child, DG mispronounced his name and called him Toto.
After Azkadellia took over the O.Z., Tutor was imprisoned in her dungeon. Azkadellia freed him under the condition that he attach himself to DG’s group as a spy so she will know when DG finds the emerald. He drops magical discs that record events and are picked by Azkadellia’s Mobats (winged monkeys) and taken to her. When his subterfuge is discovered, Toto claims that he is working to delay Azkadelia’s pursuit and later redeems himself by assisting in rescuing DG and the subsequent assault on Azkadelia’s fortress.
King Ahamo Is DG and Azkadellia’s father. He was also a slipper who, while ballooning at the Nebraska State Fair, was caught up in storm and found himself in the O.Z. (in similar fashion to how the original Wizard of Oz made his crossing). He fell in love with Queen Nyra nd stayed in the O.Z. He too helped DG and her friends to find their way and stop Az’s plan from coming true.
Jeb Cain “Rebel” Cain’s son was repeatedly traumatized by Longcoats, once as a child, they attacked his home and imprisoned his mother and him, telling them that Cain was dead. When they escaped and tried to start a new life, they were attacked again. His mother was killed in front of him and Jeb was locked into a tin-suit.
When released, Jeb swore revenge and became the rebel’s leader. He has reunited with his father and helped save the OZ from total darkness. Picture..
Azkadellia “the Sorceress” A powerful enchantress who imprisoned her own mother and assassinated her sister to take over the rule of the O.Z. Her rule has been tyrannical and she uses her Longcoat troops to kill anyone who opposes her. She also has markings on her chest that contain flying bat monkeys (known as mobats), which she commands at will. When she learns DG is still alive and back in the O.Z., she sends her Longcoats out to kill her. While she builds a machine to destroy the O.Z.
As children, Azkadellia and DG were close sisters who loved each other. When they were exploring a cave, Azkadellia was possessed by an evil witch who had been sealed inside. This plot twist reveals that Azkadellia herself is not evil; but that it is the witch’s spirit who desires to kill DG. DG eventually realizes this, and struggles to free Azkadellia from the influence of the witch. By the end of the film, she is freed from the enchantment and reunighted with her sister and parents as a good guy. Picture. Picture2
Zero (Deceasted) A Longcoat who was promoted to leader after the previous General was killed for failing to capture DG. He led the band of Longcoats who tortured Cain and his family and locked Cain in the tin prison.
Not a lot is known about him except that he is power mad and will stop at nothing to see all those who disobey his orders die.
Datrid Raynz “The Alchemist” (Deceased) Raynz is responsible for Azkadellia’s evil technology. He had no other goal then to please her and was the one responsible in torturing all of the rebels who resisted the sorcerers rein. He was the one who took the half of Glitch’s brain that Azkadellia wanted for her machine and the only one who could restore it in it’s rightful place. Raw killed him.

Your username: Piffle Number of characters: 0 Cannon you are applying for: DG Sample post: DG woke suddenly from her slumber and sat up in bed, her head was slightly spinning and she tried desperately to remember the dream that had caused her to stir. Rubbing her head gently the spinning slowly dissipated, looking around it was still dark outside.
Now that she was awake she knew it was useless to try to get back to sleep again it never worked. Swinging her legs gently over the side of the bed she pulled on some old runners and crossed the room to a chest of drawers.
Opening one of the drawers up she soon extracted a sketchbook and some charcoal; she was in the mood for a walk and maybe a little sketching when the suns started to rise in the sky.
As she dressed images of the prior weeks filled her mind, she had been absolutely speechless when her father read the letter. It appeared that she was to be the make or break of the realm for if she didn’t agree to the marriage war would break out.
Maybe that was what her dream had been about but she still couldn’t remember completely. Shaking of the feeling she picked up her sketchbook again and crossed to the door. Peaking out she saw that there was no movement in the castle this early in the morning.
Creeping down the hallway she peeked into her sister’s room and stopped for a moment watching her sleep, before continuing along the passage and down the staircase to the front door. Pushing it open gently she cringed as it creaked slightly pausing she still couldn’t hear anything and slipped out.
Once in the cool crisp air outside the castle DG started to relax a bit but the thoughts that had kept her in her room the past few weeks waiting for the scout to bring news couldn’t be shaken. As she walked along the grass she soon realized that this slow pace wasn’t helping any, she needed to run to be free again.
Dropping the sketchbook and the charcoal there where she stood as they scattered across the lawn DG took off at a sprint needing to distance herself from the castle a while the last few weeks had been unbearable.
As the wind whisked through her hair and whistled in her ear she felt liberated for a while she didn’t want this feeling to end as she focused on her breathing and the beating of her heart all worries were driven from her mind.
Finally she slowed panting for oxygen at the edge of the forest she leant against a tree to catch her breath, breathing deeply and calmly she tried to keep her worries from returning for as long as possible.
